Based in Croatia full time with an experienced team of British and Croatian property consultants, we offer a professional, reliable and friendly service to our clients.
Founded in 2004 by Charles and Carol Southgate, the real estate agency specialises in the sale of holiday homes and investment property to non-residents, but we also provide a high quality service to the domestic market with Croatians who wish to buy or sell their family home.
The ethos of the agency is to offer a professional service at a reasonable price and this was formally recognised when A Place in Dalmatia was named as the Best Croatian Estate Agency 2006 at the International Property Awards in London on November 2006. The awards are sponsored by the British newspaper, the Daily Mail, CNBC, Sunseeker and International Homes Magazine and are considered to be the Oscars of the property industry.
Charles Southgate
Managing Director
With a joint honours degree in History and Economics from London University, Charles went on to work in the City for over fifteen years as a portfolio manager for some of the leading global investment management companies before relocating full-time to Croatia and founding A Place in Dalmatia in 2004.
With a strong interest in property and with good investment skills, Charles felt that there was excellent potential for investing in the dynamic Croatian property market. So far he has been proved correct - and his clients agree!
Charles is Managing Director of A Place in Dalmatia Ltd.
Carol Southgate
Director
After graduating from Aberdeen University with a degree in Mathematics, Carol pursued a career in the City, working predominately in equity investment and then later in hedge funds. In 2004, she co-founded A Place in Dalmatia and relocated from London to Kastela.
Carol is the co-author of the book "Buying a Property Croatia" which was published in December 2007 and backed by the Sunday Times. She also oversees the day to day running of the real estate agency. Carol is a director of A Place in Dalmatia Ltd.
Natalija Kasalo
Office Assistant
Most of our clients and prospective clients have met or spoken to Natalija and she has contacts and cooporate with another agencies. She looks after the company set ups.
Natalija has economist for menagment in tourism deggre . Natalija speaks fluent English and German as well as her native Croatian.
